“Therefore, now that we have moved beyond the primary doctrine about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying a foundation again, namely, repentance from dead works and faith in God, the teaching on baptisms and the laying on of the hands, the resurrection of the dead and everlasting judgment. And this we will do, if God indeed permits.”
– Hebrews 6:1-3
Now that the annual Remembrance Supper has passed, we always take this time to reflect on how we will move our ministry forward for the rest of the year and up until next years’ annual commemoration. In keeping with Paul’s words above, it is always our intent to take our readership forward on to a deeper understanding and a bolder ministry, ‘if God indeed permits.’
We have already laid a solid foundation of the elementary doctrines such as, we are all sons of God (Galatians 3:26) and heirs to the heavenly kingdom. (Romans 8:16-17) That we should love God with our whole being, and our neighbors as ourselves. (Matthew 22:36-40) That we are beholding to no man and no manmade organization because Jesus is our ONLY mediator (1 Timothy 2:5) and the ONLY one due our loyalty and allegiance. (Philippians 2:9-11) And we explained how the Spirit of Truth bears witness with the fragment of God that dwells in each of us (1 Corinthians 3:16) giving us confirmation and conviction of what is true. (John 16:13)
We explained how the Spirit of Truth teaches us ‘all things.’ (1 John 2:27) That it stimulates the knowledge we already have and helps us make new mental connections that lead to greater knowledge and understanding. We emphasized the need to ‘keep’ taking in knowledge (Matthew 7:7-8), and trusting that we will have the discernment to discard all unhelpful information. (Matthew 13:47-48) And we proposed the possibility that there might be more information about Jesus than we previously were aware of. (See the video: The New Revelation of the Life and Teachings of Jesus.)
We introduced our readership to a new and innovative ministry, Into His Harvest, that works toward breaking down barriers and the manmade divisions that divide the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 Corinthians 1:10-15) (For information about that innovative ministry, write us.) We explained that those who choose to do the work of Jesus and complete the ministry he began will have the support of our celestial family, and the greater our devotion to the ministry of Jesus, the more concentrated will be the celestial support. Remember, the entire angelic host is in the service of Jesus (Philippians 2:10; Hebrews 1:14; Revelation 19:10), so they willingly support all who choose to be fellow workers with them. Many of the present day faith sons have indeed ‘entertained angels,’ though most did not realize it. (Hebrews 13:1-2) But all who engage in the ‘ministry of reconciliation’ (2 Corinthians 5:18) will experience the unexpected in ways they could not even imagine!
Now. Where do we go from here? How do we help our audience ‘press on to maturity?’ How do we help our brothers advance the personal ministry from God-awareness to God-knowing? What can we do to foster a deeper understanding of truth and a greater appreciation of the will of God? Not merely doing the will of God, but making the will of God OUR will.
This year, we will be producing more visual media to stimulate thinking ability and aid in the presentation of the actual teachings of Jesus. We plan to produce 4-6 videos for all three of our websites, and we will be publishing four more digital issues of “The Bright Morning Star” to combat end times theology. We will continue to develop the series Unraveling Atheism to reclaim our brothers who have sadly turned away from God in their efforts to turn away from oppressive religion. “We know that we cannot prove God exists. But since God DOES exist, we should be able to unravel all the arguments of atheism.”
We personally have been somewhat constrained by illness from fully participating in the Into His Harvest ministry due to continuing health issues. Although our brother is now free from cancer, he continued to suffer from other ailments. When he had made a breakthrough, he suffered setbacks. But now, we believe his health issues are waning and we do not expect any further setbacks. Soon, we expect to be out with our brothers and sisters around the world taking the authentic, actual, plain and open teachings of Jesus into our community. And we will be providing ministry suggestion and printable media to further expand the outreach ministry.
Finally, we were interviewed by a blog radio station and we may do more radio interviews, culminating in an aggressive campaign at the beginning of the year to encourage more Christians around the world to participate in the annual Remembrance Supper as a show of Christian solidarity.
These are our plans. We encourage all our brothers and sisters to evaluate their own circumstances and see what they can do to “press on to maturity” in their personal ministries. We know most of the faith sons are out living life, doing good in their communities, and not constantly sitting at a computer. But please do not hesitate to send us an email from time to time sharing your experiences. We, too, need encouragement as we are all in this work together.
And if it crosses your mind, send a prayer our way. We face the same challenges as do many of the faith sons. We, too, struggle with family opposition, work related issues, meeting our monthly expenses, and even with occasional bouts of sadness due to the daily struggle of living. It helps to know that those who access and benefit from the materials on our websites appreciate the tremendous work accomplished by five ordinary individuals whose only claim to fame is that they have dared to rely solely on the actual teachings of Jesus.
May the Father bless the efforts of all of the faith sons around the world who likewise ‘dare to rely solely on the actual teachings of Jesus.’ May all of us expend ourselves in making known the sacred secret of sonship and the reality that life continues after death in a well organized universe populated by intelligent and loving beings who are looking forward to meeting us on the heavenly ascension career. All of this we will do ‘if God indeed permits.’
We hope all had a wonderful Remembrance Supper and we look forward to hearing from you all.
